What are your favourite "old" games?

Having rediscovered my Red Alert CDs, I appear to have lost most of last week on the Soviet missions alone..

What old games do you still hold dear? Might have to go on the hunt for Total Annihilation next.

Oh yep, and I forgot I found the original GTA and GTA London expansion disk too.

Detroit (although I never mastered it!)

I've been playing Evil Genius lately. It's still quite good fun torturing your enemies in a mixing bowl, or slamming them between the bookcases to extract information. That and coming up with networks of traps to dispose of intruders to your lair.

Syphon Filter. Much more fun than MGS imo.
Going back a little further, Scramble. Got a copy on GBA a few years ago and it is very moreish like many of the old arcade blasters.

Laser Squad on the spectrum - played it for days and days. Loved the UFO/X-Com series too, which were the conceptual offspring.

Is it sad that I now have my retail XP licence from the old, dead PC running in a virtual machine on my new Win7 box just so I can still play this?

Quake 1 with some program you ran from DOS to play Deathmatches against the computer. The day I discovered MLook was pretty freakin' sweet, too.

I did have a game on my Amstrad CPC which had an old scientist on a skateboard trying to get away from the left hand side of the screen...though I don't remember the name.
