PS3 update... my first for over a year.

Hi all.

I have not updated my PS3 for over a year (dont ask), i finally went online today and it did the 3.7 update.

Now i seem to have lost my BBC iPlayer and Play TV options. I know its probably old news to you guys but where have they gone and can i get them back?

Go across the xmb to the TV icon (or whatever it is now), click on the icon there and you have to click the links to download iPlayer/4od/ITV player, and they will then be installed to the XMB where they were before. As for the PlayTV question sorry can't help, never used it!

I dont have other icons apart from the standard stuff you would get on a new machine. No TV or anything

I had this problem when I installed the latest update. Restarted several times and still didn't get the new TV/Video Services XMB option. Did a Google search and found lots of old threads from people who had had similar issues with previous updates, and they suggested updating PS Home. Not sure why it works, but it did for me. Installed the Home updates and suddenly I had the new XMB option. Weird.
