My best ever is challenging allcomers in my mates uni halls about 15 yrs ago at tekken 2. I played it a lot at the time and got pretty good but I think this day was somehow one of those magic days where it was really going well. It was winner stays on and although about 20 lads turned up in the end, all crowded round the telly and all took their turn, none of them could beat me.
My best gaming moment ever.. smile

Back in the olden days, my high score on Game Boy Tetris was higher than all the printed scores in Computer & Video Games. Never bothered to send it in, couldn't be arsed. A good number of my friends saw it though. A downside was that after the number of hours required to be that proficient, every time I closed my eyes, I could still see block tumbling down the inside of my eyelids.

As I was clearly some sort of manipulating-falling-things idiot savant, I turned my attention to Columns on the Megadrive. Highest score on that was unrecordable as the score counter only went up to something like 999,999. I reached that score, then continued to play for the best part of a full 24 hours as part of some sponsored stayover at our local youth club.

Yay for me!

Forgot those.

Me and a mate went to arcade in town for our lunch hour. Spent a similar amount between us to complete House of the Dead.

The kids watching were suitably impressed I'm sure.

Oh, and finishing Outrun in the arcade over every route possible and having the top score for as long as I could remember.Several times people used to pay for me to play it so they could see the different endings! Happy days.

On the flip side, I was utterly pants at Powerdrift. It just seemed like space harrier on wheels to me.

Ah, that'll be Battlefield 2.

I was a medic. We were in an APC in water and had come under heavy fire from another APC and at least one infantry carrying an ERYX (hand-held anti-tank missile launcher). I bailed with one of my squad (engineer) but the others didn't react in time so died when our APC blew up. With the engineer, we waded to shore and were greeted by a squad of 5 and the enemy APC at the top of the slope (and unable to shoot down the slope as it was on the flat and blocked by his team members). The engineer went down without killing anyone and I didn't have enough time to get him up; managed to kill two infantry, one of which had the ERYX. The APC came forward so I ducked, grabbed the ERYX, popped up, blew up the APC, then re-grabbed my kit and shot another two enemy soldiers before someone else took me out.

I've never played so well before or since.

Holding the top 3 spots on the original sega rally at the local arcade until it shut down. I was untouchable on that game (i did spend a considerable amount of money to achieve it though).

Lots of times on CS when skill and luck come together to make you look 1337.

back in the day when i played Mohaa, i played on clanbase, which was the largest in europe. i won the open cup twice with 2 different teams, took the top spot on several different gametype ladders, won free game servers and the like.
nearly won an all expenses trip to LA and E3 from electronics arts, but due to an agreement EA had with a large chain of LAN shops the uk Players from our team couldn't play in there competition, so the euro based guys went on and won instead frown
