I just discovered a gem of a game in Left4Dead 2 as Gamestation had a pre-owned copy for £10. Great fun; little or no plot, the only objective being to fight and blast your way through zombie hordes till you reach the safe house. As someone who doesn't particularly like zombie games, this one is a peach; arcadey in it's game play and doesn't take itself seriously - great for coming home from work and taking some of the stress out of your day with brain-off spater action.

I've not played the original; does anyone know if it was just the same kind of set up, or are the two games different? If 2 was only £10, I'm guessing 1 must be worth a punt if I can find it somewhere for a couple quid biggrin

Stick with 2. Lfd1 is the same but with less. You can get lfd1 levels for 2.

Fun game, I play it on my brother's Xbox. It's okay but I'm not into zombies running.

For the pure fun factor I would suggest Dead Rising.

They're both good. I liked L4D1 just as much as L4D2. The story is as short as you like, but for me at least it never loses anything by repeatedly going through it - me and a mate must have done it easily 50 times and it's always a good laugh. The second one I don't like some of the newer beasties, the Jockeys and stuff were just a bit much, but the plot and the environment are great.

You've not been playing online enough tongue out

Nothing beats jockeying a survivor out off a ledge and watching them hang while the others get torn apart trying to save them biggrin

hehe I meant in story mode. I've not actually bothered with the versus mode of L4D2 much, was addicted to the first hehe

I loved the L4D games from the moment they were released. I do like the relative simplicity of the first, but they're both cracking games. The only issue is finding halfway competent players - playing with randoms is very hit and miss.
