Clarkson + Porsche + Halo 4

It appears in a new racing game and as per usual Clarkson uses the opportunity to *diss* the Porsche 911

Clarkson= one of the last petrolheads on the TV doing a bit of defending against the odious legions of anti-car, sky-worshiping, speed-nazi, hand-wringing, swampyalikes we seem to have to put up with.

So he's alright with me, very comical delivery. Also I already know I like my 911 and even if he tells me it's rubbish a quick drive reminds me that I like it.

Im a big Clarkson fan. Wind up merchant of the highest order of course but he has been a pleasant diversion from the orthodoxy of cars=evil of the past decade.

Consistency has never been his strong suit. Even on the 911. While he of course assumes the anti-911 position to Hammond's worship of it he has been very praising of some models. He said the 996 GT3 was the best car he had driven that year for example. Put the 996 turbo as the second best car ever in an early 90s video and earlier this year described the GTS as a brilliant car. No doubt plenty of other examples around.

Clarkson ruined the boxster? You can't be serious, as soon as it was announced 911 owners up and down the land were calling it a poor man's porsche. Clarkson just went with the sentiment.

Unfortunately when a manufacturer famous for expensive, exclusive cars releases a cheaper model it's going to happen. Whatever reason people buy them for.

You can't hold JC responsible for that.

@Stig exactly, esp with you in the gunner seat and a bad team mate driving! Plus wartog def oversteers way more than any car, considering its 4WD

Clarkson is witty, very. He will only wind up the OEM motor clothing wearing forum geeks, the rest of us will take it Tongue in cheek....as it should be taken. If he ever gets on here and reads some of the outrageous self gratifying anecdotes made by some of the apparently 'esteemed' weekend warrior 'track racers' on here, look out.
