Using Turtle Beach X11s with PS3

I have a set of X11s which I used with my Xbox but understand I need a USB sound card for the ps3 to make the mic compatible.

Has anyone done this and does anyone know if theres a difference in quality between the Turtle beach Amigo II USB sound card or any generic USB sound card off eBay?

Just my opinion on this, but I think it depends how your PS3 is connected to your TV. My Xbox uses the red-white and yellow cables, so I only use the USB to power the headphones. Should be the same on a PS3.

Not sure about the HDMI setup though.

I use a bogo cheap usb soundcard with my generic headphones and works fine. Was about 6 quid on ebay.
