In the beginning there was....

then

onwards and upwards to

onto the consoles

the Sega era continued

until the Nintendo invasion

also had one of these around this time

But the lure of the Sony was irresistible

until the cd drive died. Then PCs took over.

[Insert photo of beige box]

Time for Bills effort

and the follow up

which is currently lying dead in the shed with the red ring of death.

Every now and again whip out my

which I inherited. Only ever tinker with Gran Turismo on it.

Think that covers it. Although the urge to replace the xbox is growing strong, especially after reading the Forza unveiling thread.

Might as well list mine. Not all "consoles" but the early stuff was only for games anyway.

1. Spectrum ZX (with built in tape deck)
2. Atari 1040 STe
3. Dan Computers 486 (50mhz) running Windows 95
4. Sega Megadrive II
5. Sega Saturn
6. Playstation 2
7. Xbox 360

Have a few computers now but don't really do PC gaming anymore. Use the Xbox for that, although do occasionally play some Chris Sawyer games and various other bits and bobs on the PC.

Luke.

Where's that thread we had recently? My console collection is around 70 different items at the moment, mostly handhelds. Every single variation of Nintendo's Game Boys, every Sega console ever, every Sony, and loads of random stuff that most people have never heard of. Recently picked up a Bandai Wonderswan, for example.

As a kid though I went Game Boy->Game Gear->Game Boy Pocket->Game Boy Color->Game Boy Advance. Always the handhelds as I was at boarding school.

If the sound still works, and there's not loads of fluff on the screen, it'll be worth something. Not a lot, but something.

What game?

Only started looking for pictures as I really couldn't remember what the orange pong machine was called.

So typed in "Orange pong machine" and found the correct culprit.

Seemed a shame to leave the rest out after that.

Family entertainment system (SNES rip off! very popular in south africa I've not seen the consoles or cartridges sold in the uk though)

Game boy

Playstation

Gameboy advance

PS2

wii

xbox 360

Sega Megadrive (brother got me one for christmas as I was saying our childhood lacked sonic :P)

PS3

I've always preffered PC games really and have had pretty decent PC's all the way through life, I still play my PC more than any console mainly because I just can't play FPS games on consoles. I spin around throwing nades into the floor most of the time. It's not pretty.
