FM3 - paint question

I have a FM3 paint question, basically I got told the other day where you can save a tune which is on a car then you can gift it over.
Is this possible with paint? I have some paints which are on cars which people have sent me.
Also another quick question, is there a difference between doing event list and season play?

To save a paint job, first it has to be unlocked. If it is, go to apply decals and once the screen has loases press the start button and save to design catalogue. Once saved you can up load it to the storefront or gift it to friends.
There is a difference between event list and season play. Season play baisicly guides you on a path through the events with limited choice as to what event you pick next. It's give you a choice depending on what cars you have.
Event list is just a list of all the tournaments and you can choose which you want to do and when. You don't have to complete an event before you start the next either.

A paint that you have done can be gift over to someone else. The paint will be unlocked, meaning the person you have sent it to will be able to edit it or put it on their storefront. Paints you have brought on a storefront will be locked and you will be unable to gift those or edit them.
Same goes with tunes.
But if you gift a car the tune and paint are all editable. For example the F40 I sent you.

Just one BIG warning, be careful who you gift stuff to, I've had a couple of my designs spammed onto other peoples storefronts because I gifted them to someone, who then went onto sell them unlocked about 10 times each, they didnt even bother to remove my signature / logo....b

ETA - Also means that if you are gifted a car with 'logos' on it that have been created, you can save each one individually so you can use them on other cars, hence quite a few 'logo' cars are around.
