Was trying to arrange so e private matches with friends but not one of us could join any match.

We all tried hosting but every time we tried to join via the square button or via a game invite it would either say 'game no longer in session' or unable to join session...

Anyone know how to fix this.... It's driving us mad

What is your filter set to? You can change the filter so as it's open to anyone, open to friends only, invite only or closed which means no-one will be able to get in.

As said above, make sure all of you have your NAT types set to open and make sure you haven't set the lobby to invite only etc.

When you go to multiplayer and it's the first screen where you can view your player profile etc in the bottom right corner it will tell you your NAT type, from what you have said i would guess it's set to moderate.

To change this you need set your PS3 up in a DMZ, google PS# DMZ and it will tell you how to do it, best to put all of your internet enabled gear on static IP addresses too to avoid any conflicts. You have to access the router to set up the DMZ, it should only take 15 minutes to sort it out though.
