First of all I’m laughing to myself for even considering what we do on our consoles can be judged as achievements but anyway….

On Saturday two mates and I managed collectively to get to get online…. at the same time (an achievement with kids and wife’s now taking up our lives…) to do a proper session of Gear of War 3.

We got online at 10pm and started a Horde on standard difficultness.

4 and a bit hours later we managed to get to Horde 50! Now I’ve never been bothered enough to sit through that many levels to get to 50 (previous was 37) but what was more incredible was that at level 26 the 3 other players got bored and left so we managed to get from 26 to 50 with just 3 players.

Can this be classed as an achievement… how many other people manage to do level 50 with half a team?

What helped tremendously was that we worked constantly together setting up defined roles and supporting one another.

Anyway I’ve managed to get a shed load of points (meh) but feel actually really good for managing to beat the last boss against the odds... but is it against the odds and should I expect that its pretty standard to do this for people who play more regular than once a week (if that)

"kids and wife’s now taking up our lives"

Me and a Mate went to 50 the other night just the two of us. Insane however needs a team of at least 4 I believe.

Does it not scale to how many players are playing? I would have thought it would...

I don't know the answer to your question regarding something about achievements, but that part made me LOL. On a Monday morning, that is commendable. Well done you smile

Indeed there seems to be a massive difference in scale of achivements/trophies. Some are nice and easy and really shouldn't be there like finish xxx level on a game however others tend to be silly hard like get within the top 3% in the online weekly rankings (Killzone 2)
