Decrease PS3 friends list loading time?

It's gotten to the point where it takes the piss to load despite me deleting people regularly. Very annoying when I log in to check if a particular friend is on and I have to wait for it to load. Any way to decrease the loading time?

Just get the phone app, that's what I do. Helps me decide whether to move to turn the ps3 on

Actually found a website, much more convenient for me as I don't have an iPhone. I can now decide whether it's worth turning it on or not
