Anyone playing the flightsim DCS: A10 Warthog on PC?

I fancy a flightsim, a really hardcore, immersive and complicated one. Having had a read, DCS: A10C Warthog seems to fit the bill for PC. My PC should be up for the job (I will need a new graphics card though) but I'd be interested to find out it's any good, what PC setup will run it at max detail and which joystick I would need to buy.

My PC is an i3 540 at 3.1Ghz with 4GB ram and a big HD. My graphics card is er..crap though. Monitor is a Samsung 24" LCD.
