I've bought *cough* my 9 yr old son an Xbox 360 Kinect thingy for his birthday and christmas. What games are must-haves?

I'm guessing Forza 4 (do I need a steering wheel and pedals?) and some kind of COD game. Oh and what games for the boy? hehe He likes killing elves and stuff.

scratchchin What's the age limit on left 4 dead? I suspect 9 is a bit young for it.

Don't need a wheel for Forza. Use the standard controller or kinect (I've no idea how it works or how well it plays with the Kinect but it says it does on the box)

A 9 year old will love Forza using his hands as a steering wheel on kinect yes

Right, that's Forza and an xbox live subscription ordered. If I just bowl up to the PH lobby on saturday night with what I'm presuming will be a POS entry level car, will you all laugh at me? smile

Not strictly true wink

You might be laughed at but i'm sure we all have our fair share of banter but on the whole it's very much a nice place to be and if you want help tuning/painting then most people are very friendly and just the other day I got gifted a Mclaren F1 for no reason other than the guy who had it also had 4 others biggrin

In respect to games to buy then I have heard the Lego games can be good for children and adults alike and it was a middle aged PH'er that told me how good they were!

Would agree there, my kids (10 and 7) both enjoyed the Lego Star Wars and Indiana Jones games, although found Harry Potter a bit dull.
