1978 Mustang King Cobra, in yellow with red pinstripes. Eligible for all the 70s muscle car stuff, but goes round corners properly.

Also the Ford Falcon XB, which I got my first perfect drift in.

1957 Ford Thunderbird, without a shadow of a doubt. Mine was pink, then cherry red - now it's pink again. Looks amazing.

I have it all set up with the max upgrades, so it has a 6.0L engine producing 900+hp (772lb-ft smile) and is in class R3. As you can tell, I'm all about the realism, so I kept the 3-speed gearbox that I think is essential to the feel of the car. I have the final drive ratio set to the minimum of 2.2 to minimize wheelspin and maximize top speed. I don't believe the original had traction control, so I drive with it off. Ditto ABS. Again, realism - this is a simulation, not some kind of joke.

(Actually the T-bird is a sweet car to drive with just about any setup; it looks amazing in the bonnet cam, the muscular engine makes up for the limited number of gears, and it's very easy to powerslide. I always watch the replay, every time. The car just looks so awesome.)

I also rate the Plymouth Cuda 426 HEMI, for its satisfyingly filthy engine sound, and the Mercedes 190E Evolution, which drives like it's on rails (though the default 3rd and 4th gears are a bit too widely-spaced for my taste).

It is indeed. Sadly you can't get the correct bodykit, but it's ridiculously easy to drive sideways.

I love my Mk1 MR2 supercharger, because it reminds me of my old car, right down to the steering wheel shake.
Handling is remarkably faithful too. Happy days.
