Anyone interested in giving this a bash?
Plenty of track options and scope for interesting racing.
Would initially say work within what the game offers for P1,P2,GT1 and GT2, but could open it up to a bit of tuning within reason (say get a Lambo into Gt1, or a LMPC up to P2) - Stock parts (tuning allowed though)
Say 2 hour races (maybe go longer for Le Mans/Sebring/Petit if people are interested)?
As a rough gauge for interest, you know the drill - names/classes/cars on the dotted line...
P1
P2
GT1
GT2
Parsnip - #71 BMW Art Car (possibly the Spyker if it can be performance balanced)

Haven't got that far to be honest - was thinking along the lines of a series, but maybe a one off depending on numbers - kind of dependant on a full grid for the classes to work properly.
Would propose:
Catalunya
Sebring
Silverstone
Le Sarthe
Road Atlanta
I think Tuesdays, Mondays and Sundays are take with other races - Wednesday evening or Saturday afternoon (nothing clears the hangover like a howling aston V12
)
(just realised how many times I use the word "interest" in the first post, gah!)

Right, how about next Wednesday (16th), in the lobby for 8.30ish, try to be going by 9?
Annoyingly, I have no idea if I'll be able to make it or not, may be stuck on an oil rig pretending to work.
Unless we can get numbers earlier and could give it a bash this Wednesday - 8 people would probably work, could just do GT2s and P1s? I'll almost certainly be on Wednesday evening anyway.

Right, gonna give this a go, Tomorrow night, 8.30 in the lobby.
Stick you GT down for an invite - will also probably fire one round the PHSM club before we start.
Count me in for R3 class please Gamer Tag is Daz Bock. Not sure on my weapon of choice yet. Stick you GT down for an invite - will also probably fire one round the PHSM club before we start.
Few questions though?
How long is the race?
Which Track?
Will we start promptly at 8.30?
Thanks
Daz
Will be in the same
- think I'm gonna tune up a P1 as well, incase everyone is in GT2 - hilarious seat of the pant overtaking is the order of the day
Initially going to say everything stock as the game gives it to you, tuning allowed, upgrades not.
May lead to a few imbalances (think the Lola Aston is a lower PI than the Pug for example) but the race cars are a lot more about set up and driver skill than picking the right car and upgrades and the cars are all pretty close anyway.
Edit:
Track: Catalunya GP
Time: 8.30ish lobby, try to be rolling by 9pm
Length: 1 Hour
Damage on, along with tyres and fuel - can't see anyone having to pit for tyres and fuel though.
Restrictions: Stock Prototype 1 and stock GT2 body styles tuning allowed, upgrades are not.
Standard rules apply - no being a bell end, try to announce passes etc.
GT2s do not need to let prototypes past - don't get in the way, but stay on line - the prototypes handle well enough to go round the outside or wait and get past on a straight - keep it gentlemanly and remember, GTs have bumpers, prototypes do not

By GT2 are we being strict by current entries in the GT2 category or will anything GTish and R3 do?
Would be tempted to say limit is to what the game calls a GT2. It is a shame that there is no AMV8, Porsche, Spyker or Lotus GT2 available, so if you are able to build one with ~450hp, full aero, slick tyres and it happens to come out around 750pi, then go for it - I tried with the Spyker and had to put far too much power under the bonnet to get it to a high enough level - it isn't really a GT2 if it has 600+HP. If it can be done, close racing is all that really matters - may give it another bash tonight and report back
