Xbox microphone sensitivity

Can you adjust this? I'm having real trouble with the fact that my new sparkly turtle beach hired gaming headset mic is far too sensitive. It was bad with the controller but it's practically unusable when wired into my Fanatec wheel. It's very very annoying for other players when they can hear me clicking buttons ffs!

So I'm now in the situation. Of having a brilliant wheel but can't chat. Very frustrating. I've ordered a new set of bog standard wired chat only headset to see if that helps.

If that's the same as mine, about £10 off amazon standard wired one then not very sensitive you have to speak into It or else no sound goes through

I ordered another turtlebeach but purely chat as opposed to the other one which is game sfx also. Will see what happens.
