Hi all, I am considering getting a kinect for the family this Christmas, but I am not sure if I have got enough room.

Our TV room is long and narrow and we have just under 5' between the edge of the sofa and the edge of the TV stand giving a viewing distance of just over 6' (which is about right for our 50" TV biggrin ) For those that have a Kinect, is this enough space for the thing to work properly or am I going to have to move the sofa every time we want to use it? We have a 5 year old who is full of energy and would love the dance games so we'd need enough space for that.

I really don't want to move the TV as it's set up just as I like it.

Thanks!

Thanks RemaL I will get measuring tonight. I think I'm not going to have enough space without some rearranging of the furniture.

That looks interesting, do you have one and does it work well?

I've got the Kinect and its a fantastic bit of kit, it still feels like its too clever for this generation. Thankfully i've got just enough room to use it without needing a lens.
