Simple: I fking love Battlefield 1942 and then 2 but I'm a tight-fisted git. I bought 1942 for £15 well after BF2 was launched and BF2 for £12 after BF2042 was launched.

Still too expensive!! But I hear it's not as great as first thought. The best thing about BF2 is squad work and everything relevant to it. I understand you can't even speak to members of your squad. rofl

To expensive? Cheapest entertainment around almost. Cinema is almost a tenner for 2 hours entertainment? A hooker can be anything from 20quid to £2000 per night and a hotel will cost You £100 a night unless You go for a cheapy special. I'd say BF3 for £25 is a bargain for time vs £

Also yes You can speak to Your squad, well You can on 360 anyways.

£10 for BF3 with extra packs. wink

Can you speak to any squad you join? I was told it was completely different to BF2 in this regard.

as much as i love the game i'm currently having to work part-time having been made redundant from my previous job last month and i dont feel spending £40 on a game is the most appropriate way to do that.

VOIP works for me. And it's better than BC2 as it now can speak to the entire team as well, which means if you jump in a tank with a person not in your squad you can still tell them stuff......

£25 - I bet you'll spend more than 25 hours on-line playing this, so that's a quid an hour, which is awesome... Now, if you got to 100 hours............

From what I have played yes, that's if any people in squads talk as most people on 360 either cough or don't communicate at all. Never had any problems with mates or phers though. Although party chat is superior and You can have 8 people in a party so two squads.

Party chat sounds useful. I was told that in the PC version, you can't choose to only chat with your squad.
