Team speak servers
Discussion
Does anyone know how these things actually work?
For example are they tied to a game server too, so if you are playing BF3 and want to go in and out of game servers can you do that while still connected to the Temaspeak sevrer or is that server tied to the game server you first assign it to?
Are they able to work in channels? So in a team speak server can you have different channel for each squad/team in BF3 for example?
their website is unintelligible on this sort of thing as it seems a 12 year old with only a basic grasp of English did the translation.

I posted a thread about this a little while ago as I rented a server for Pistonheaders to use. Nobody was interested as I didn't get a response.
You're more than welcome to use my server. It uses Mumble which I found to be much better than Ventrilo as it doesn't lag anywhere near as much.

To answer your question though. It's completely not tied to a particular game server and you can group it by server, team, squad, whatever.
You would have to make sure you join the right channel so that you're not communicating on the enemy's channel but that's really easy
If you do use my server then tell me what you want and I'll set it up how you want it

As above.
TeamSpeak, Ventrilo and Mumble are standalone VOIP programs.
I host a TS3 and Mumble server for a gaming community i look after, TS is certainly no longer a resource hog and infact is my choice of all 3 now.
Mumble is a great product if its minimal you require e.g. just some mates joining. The advantages of TS and Vent are the admin interfaces, usergroups so it makes it easier to manage on a larger scale.
