Best war game

I have an Xbox 360, have never really played a war game, so which one should I get to break me in? COD4? BF3? something else?

Single player I can recommend medal of honor and Call of duty 4. Battlefield bad company 1 and 2 are worth a shot too.

Multiplayer it's either call of duty or battlefield series, with battlefield bad company 2 being my personal favourite.

Sorry didn't mean COD4, I meant the new one, MW3. However maybe I should get COD4 first for cheap and see if I like it?

MW3 is where its at. But if you want to test the water on the cheap you can probably get a copy of MW2 or Black Ops quite cheap now.

Single player don't bother with BF3, the AI is years behind Modern warfare series. Also I wouldn't bother with Black Ops as it's more of a interactive movie.

Personally I would reccomend buying Modern warfare 1 then 2 then 3, they are all fantastic and get progressivly better.

However if you do venture online I would skip the cod series and play BFBC2 or BF3 as they are incredible. If you have been dropped on your head alot as a child or have been boxing and taking a lot of shots to the head the COD series may please you.

Agree, BF3 singleplayer is cack IMO. Modern Warfare is the opposite, I always enjoy the single player but find all the multiplayer stuff quite boring.

Most modern games are nowadays as they focus on the multiplayer. It's better on the harder difficulties as you can't "simply" run and gun
