problem with my turtle beach ear force XLC Head set for xbox

Hi guys
ive just joined the forum today my christmas present that i got form santa doesnt work i cant hear people or talk to peaple at all when i am on live can anyone give me some advice please. ive just got the new MW3 game for christmas would anyone wont to be my friend & for the 2011 f1 race game you can tag me on Echobillong as i dont now my way around the maps plus if anyone would wont to talk to me to see if my new headphone work before i take them back to the shop & before i lose my temper & throw them in the bin.

Make sure you are/aren't in party chat, depending on what you want to do. Might be the problem.

Have you made sure all the cables are in properly? There's a separate one for the chat that goes into the controller on mine, that stopped me being heard, as mentioned ensure you have the chat channel selected for the game itself.

I brought these and gave up! They are a nightmare! The game sound is fine but you cannot hear anyone. In the xbox settings I played with everything to no avail. The only way I managed to fix them was by going into the ingame audio and taking ingame sound to almost off. In the end I gave up as it was too much hassle.
