Xbox 360 has no HDMI slot?
Discussion
For the last few years ive been using my xbox 360 through a 17" computer monitor via the vga cable(quality not brilliant).
I decided to buy myself a 23" HDTV (1080P) for xmas.
Was just looking at how to connect all up (tv not arrived yet!)
And have discovered my xbox has no HDMI slot!
So i take it only the newer ones have it.
Will the quality still be much better than on my monitor, or am i going to be disapointed?
or is there some sort of adaptor i can buy?
Cheers

I've got a couple non elites that have HDMI. Falcon units iirc.
Those units would have been made after the Elite was first released, all Xboxes made after that had it IIRC.Just get a component cable, I think most if not all games run in 720p anyway so there's really no need for 1080p.
Indeed you do - I noticed very little if any difference in quality between the component hd and HDMI on a 32" tv, but I get the impression, depending on the way you tv processes the image, you may encounter a greater input lag than with HDMI.
I didn't notice the difference on my TV, so I may be wrong.

Ahh, mine only has the Yellow/red/white.
So i need to get the xbox HD lead then.

Stuff on the internet says otherwise - HDMI causes a bit more input lag because of the digital processing involved. It's quite a problem with "Rocksmith" which uses a real guitar with the Xbox like Guitar Hero does with a fake guitar. Can't say I saw any difference between the two on my TV. I didn't notice the difference on my TV, so I may be wrong.
