COD black ops

Hope someone can help. Black ops, multiplayer, hardcore team deathmatch. Im having great difficulty telling friend from foe. Any suggestions?

Shoot anything that moves

Problem with that is on hardcore friendly fire kills. 3 times and the host boots you.

When I used to play hardcore with the PH people I all ways got kicked for killing too many team mates.

Play pure team deathmatch shoot players that don't appear on your mini map or have red writing for their name across the top of them

They wear a different uniform. Can't say I've ever had a problem with telling them apart. Unless they scare me coming round a corner, then they had it coming.

Your team mates have their name above them in green writing. Your enemies have no name above them, unless you get very close, in which case they will have their name above them in red writing.

Your team mates will be identified to you (unless you have my levels of internet connection). So shoot anyone who isn't named (or who has a name in red).

If you are not sure, don't shoot.

Play Core instead of Hardcore, at least until you can tell the uniforms apart.

Ha ha ha, I used to spend 90% in lobbys, hardcore on black ops sucks, lots better on MW3

The plot thickens.

I played the same game on my brothers Xbox last night. Totally different, on the Xbox your teamates have there name in green above their heads. Not on PS3. Im going the "check the uniform" idea but it could be easier

I'm 99% sure they have their name above their head in green on PS3 too. Do you see an emblem above their head?

Have you changed the settings somewhere? Don't see why it would be different that's all.

Sorted. I was in the middle of a game and decided to change class. Hit the start button and noticed an options tag, hit that and in there was what I needed. Mine was set to 'icons only' changed it to player name and away to go
