Just thought I'd pop this up for people if they are intested. DO NOT SIGN UP YET!.

As FM3 S class appears to be more R3 now I would like to organise a Hypercar championship.

What I would like to know guys is the following as it will mean me putting time in, or yourselfs.

1) Fixed build cars tuned by myself and few well known tuners in the community or I list the cars and tune yourselves
2) What nights are best for you guys?
3) Real life tracks? Fictional Tracks or a mix?
4) Forced aids off? Or what ones to allow. I would like to force TCS off to allow for human error.
5) PI penalties ON or OFF? 1st -30PI, 2nd -20PI, 3rd -10PI, 14th +10PI, 15th +20, 16th +30
6) If penalties run, shall they apply to the next race then reset unless the person finishes in those positions. Or shall they run the whole championship.

Thoughts guys?

Do you mean like an R3 class A1 GP ?

Same cars, Same tune just down to driver ability ?

That could be interesting.

I think you need to keep it to R3 tuned road cars only, so they are truly hypercars. I think a lot may go to R2, is that too high?. No race cars, and not merely supercars.

Doing all the tunes yourself is a good idea, and if your touring car champ was anything to go by it should give us close racing.

I think a PI drop could be good too, but only up to a maximum (ie +/-50), and if the cars are people's own tunes. The PI change is kept for the whole champ, unless the effect is very marked. For example, if the person finishing 16th (+30) finishes 4th at the next race, the PI will be back to the start value. This would allow for finishing positions not due to the player's skill, ie caught in a crash. All of this to be settled by a night of practice.

Any track, both fictional and real can be very good.

Assists off, except maybe braking line to avoid unnecessary pile ups. Damage off, as with cars that fast it is impossible to keep up the moment the car gets scratched... Not ideal as it tempts people into driving carelessly, but too many races have been ruined in the past imo.

Not sure what Cypher is doing with the NASCARs yet, so I will say thursdays are best for me...

I wouldn't mind doing this but I would really need abs on but I think having the other assists off bar braking line would be fine.

Sounds interesting, I have so many ideas for championships and/or one make series but can't run anything as I work most evenings.

(Dan if you fancy hosting any of them at some point we can discuss the finer points. One idea was 3 model rally classics with 3 near identical RWD tunes I have for Ford Escort MkII / Lotus Sunbeam (Dodge OMNI)/ Fiat 131 Abarth )

This would be a good championship to run as long as it is hyper cars only, no race cars. I would be quite interested in having pre built cars by yourself and whoever else you have in mind.
I can do any night bar thursday/friday. Wednesday aint ideal but I could do it.
Tracks would be better as a mix but real world only sounds interesting.
As for aids, just disable TCS and STM, forced manual gears would be good to but would aero be allowed? Some of the cars eligable are a nightmare with out it, that could put a few people off.
If running penalties then they should stand for the next race only, unless the position is maintained in which case your pi would not alter, you would keep the penalty. I would however prefer not to have penalties if you are tuning the cars though Dan. If we are tuning our own then its easier to manage as well as helps maintain a balance between cars to take penalties.

I may add more thoughts later but now its time for work, see ya later!

Not a massive fan of the super quick stuff tbh but as we haven't had a go at it yet in FM4 lets see what it looks like....

As regards assists - I prefer ABS on so I don't pile into someone else due to my own cock up and ruin 2 peoples races. Everything else off is fine however I normally run with braking line on too for the same reason.

im up for whatever S700/R3 800 racing. The only option/assist i use is manual without clutch.

I also think everyone should be on simulation steering..... that way we see who can really control a tank slapper (not me, i might add)

Happy to have a trial race whenever.

I'd be up for this (especially when I get my Xbox back on Wednesday)

I'm not the greatest tuner, so would prefer someone else to make it more skill based
I can do pretty much any night as long it's past 8pm ish
I'm a fan of the real life tracks but wouldn't mind a mix either
I use ABS, braking line and manual box but otherwise feel free to force everything off
I'm undecided on PI boosts or penalties. Part me likes it to keep the racing as close as possible but part of me would like to see the best driver win. Although if I'm last in the first race then I'm sure I'll want the boost! smile

Having said all that, all pretty much go with whatever is decided.

Think this could be good, as there is more money about in FM4 meaning people can build and tune cars, where as when Mandy ran his champ in FM3 the cars were bloody expensive to buy and tune, so once you chose one you had to kind of stick with it..

Why don't you do this after the Nations Cup? Do something like you tune 4 cars, give out 4 of each. Then you can have a championship and a specific car championship abit like the Nations Cup. Just a suggestion because I'm sick of always racing the slower stuff....

Well for those not running in the vintage trans am and fancy some unadulterated speed then it could work.

I haven't kept up with all the champs, but I reckon you should just set a date and see who signs up. I want to race R2s, and not just GT1s.
