Hi, Im thinking of getting stuck in to this game, after letting the first two pass me by, and getting caught up in the hype of MW3 until now.

Is there any reason why I shouldn't buy a ebay , pre owned copy? ie would the PSN know if it has been used before on a different system, or would there be areas locked out to the original owner of the game?

Dont know what the PS-3 does but I recently got my sister BF3 on Xbox as she was always on MW and wanted to play BF. So got her a pre-owned version and some MS points to get an online pass. Sadly the code in the box worked so she has 800pts to the Karkand pack. Also rather annoying was in total it cost £33 inc points. My new copy after xmas cost me £25 from the same shop! GRRR!

Pretty sure that the PS3 version has a one-use pass key in the box that is required to play online. If already used, I think you can buy a replacement from the store, but not sure of the cost.

There's obviously a chance that the eBay used game won't have had the online key used. But it's a slim chance. I'd go for new as the poster above says.
