If you find it fun for general messing around I would reccomend giving Saints Row 3 a go. Personally I found it much more fun and a better sound track for exploring and mucking around etc.
not sure if it still works bit you can pickup sr3 for 11.99, and enter voucher code "pcgamer" and it will discount 20 quidOdie said:
You could also give APB-reloaded a go too, i had some good fun on it.
Did another company buy APB and re-release it or something?I remember reading about APB in a mag about 7 years ago or more and thinking what an awesome game it sounds like.
I pre-ordered it when you could and got early Beta access and it was a pile of poo, the mechanics of the game just didn't work properly and it just felt like a completely unfinished game.
Cancelled my order and like a month after release or something the game flopped and they closed it all down and didn't refund anybody?!
Still fire up TBOGT now and again, mostly just doing the drug wars and BASE jumping for giggles.
Like a proper geek I went back on it last night to check out the fayre ground ride background and it is indeed almost an exact copy of the last few frames of the GTA V trailer...
Enjoying Saints Row the 3rd, it's a cheap copy of a GTA game or a GTA game with the polish turned right down and the fun factor turned right up - depending on your point of view. It's a good laugh, but the vehicle phyisics and NPC A.I. isn't in the same league as GTA IV.

Still play GTA 4 for the online racing quite a bit, usually no problem getting full lobbies. The racing is CRAZY and pretty clean near the front. Just gotta avoid the standard 2-3 people trying to crash everyone but it's part of GTA I suppose! Best street racing game i've ever played, plus it comes with a free GTA game

I've not played GTA for a long time now, too long in fact. I was waiting for V to be released but that's a fair way off yet. I think I may have to have another play through while I'm waiting
The Lost and Damned and TBOGTs missions were too easy (although I did struggle a bit on the last mission of TLAD) and the stories too short imho, even for add ons.
the new cars in TBOGT were worth it though.
