I am not much of a computer gamer.

The last game I bought was little big plant which was fun.

Most games seem far too complicated and not quite as fun as what I remember from when I was much younger playing things like simcity or transport ttycoon.

Can anyone recommend a simulator game of any sort that would be good for a non pc person?

Cars, planes, trains, buses, ships, subs, civilian, military, lorries?

You can get pretty much anything, depends what you like and what you fancy. The pc spec might also help, some can be pretty intensive.

Not too sure of spec. It's about 3 years old and is a dell.

I quite like the idea of trains. But would prefer them to be steam. I like trucks too.

I also saw a farming simulator which looked interesting, but couldn't find any reviews.

For trains try Railworks, the latest version requires quite a fast PC at max settings but the previous version (Railworks 2) is still available I think. I run RW3 on medium detail at 3840x1024 with an 8800GTX and a quad core 6600 cpu.

Several steam engines are available and there are lots of additional routes and locomotives that can be purchased. The game also includes a world editor you can use to create your own routes, some of which people have created and are available free to download.

The people who do the farming simulator also do a ski resort simulator I believe. You get to drive a plough.
