Battlefield 3 Xbox problems!!!!!!

I got Battlefield 3 today for the xbox, so far after spending about an hour updating I cant even play a game online at all, it freezes and I cant do anything, I have only managed about 10 mins play so far big big waste of money and I am really not impressed.

Took about 15 mins to update when I first got it and not a issue playing it my end?
