Ive got it, not sure whats supposed to happen at the end though? Think you can get online with it and look at other creatures and what have you, but playing offline I've never found out.
I've been told you have to go to the centre of the galaxy and then find Earth.Doing motorcycles is difficult...
It got overhyped, features were missing/altered, it came with SecuROM disk protection, and a limit to three activations, which put a lot of people off. Also, you have to search for a while to find decent creations online. (Try putting Ferrari into the sporepedia as an example)
Also, for a game that proposes to be evolution, there's not much evolving.
It's a good game though. I spend a fair bit on time on it still.

Sporn...Warning - long...
So, I've now got GA, and first the update to 1.04 renames everything to BAD_DATA, which means uninstalling my three times to Earth/centre of galaxy game, and reinstalling, only to find it didn't work. So, quick bit of messing with the files, and it turns out 1.04 removes the en_gb name generation package. No big problem, just copy the file from en_us ngp into the place it should be.
That was fustrating...
So, having done all this, and got it to work, I load up GA, to find they've altered the opening movie. I prefered the old one, but anyway, I start up a new world, and set about recreating the dinosaur race shown in the Earth pic. 3 hours later (3/4 stages with speed achievements, woohoo!) I get them back to space. I then start on my "humans" and find that there is a trowser and jumper set added under detail:

(If you have the game, I think you may be able to get them into your game by saving it to your creations folder under creatures.)
Which makes clothing them much eaiser. (Yes, the skin colour is wrong, but it was 1 in the morning)
So, time to load up and do some adventures/missions/carve through small armies with the really good energy slash weapon/etc, like in the demo videos, and the first mission I get is go to a spaceport and meet the locals. That done, I go for the next one, which turns out to be escort the weird old priest to his temple. Ok... So, running down the path, disturbed by a lack of oponents to face the wrath of my small but mighty dinosaur race (Red path through the stages.) through proper ambush territory, eventually we get to a smoky villiage, with some badly dressed and masked black figures coming towards me. Very quickly dispensed with, onto his temple, which you have to protect for a minute from more black, masked things. This done, said goodbyes, onto the next one.
A scientific race this time, and it's a mission to go to a research station, where a great weapon is being built. Naturally, as a warrior race, it's full power to engines in the direction of the base. So, beam to planet, engage sneak, jump the wall into the base, to speak to the guy to start the mission proper. So, onto the reactors now, take them down, get back to the guy, and lauch the attack. charge out the door, cut the guards to pieces, make for the armory, give the creatures weapons, and destroy the thing. Job done.
At this point, I wanted to make a full scale battle, so I made this one:

It's both very easy, and very difficult at the same time, and is set in a city, with vast unending hordes of enemies. You have three tanks and your spaceship, with a few (Very good) soldiers. All of which will have to be replaced with your own units, as I don't know if you can just save from a post like this. If it works, then I'll post them all up. It is only worth ten points though...
The technique is to not let a huge bunch of them charge you, as this means you can't fight back, and leg it for health/armor and energy powerups. Did I mention you have to kill at least 300 enemies? (The furthest I've got so far...)
In conclusion, I like it. I just think it should have included a lot more missions...

If the saving the picture to the creations folder thing works, then here they are:

The best ground unit, but only three of them in the battle. They can fly too.

Has two rocket launchers. Got to love them.

Has two lighting swords. The best one to watch in battle.

The main ranged unit.

The commander/special forces role.

A Cyclops, a not particularly brilliant oponent, but is several times the size of the above comphies. Or at least it should be bigger than them.

A sort of scout tank based on a car, only three of them.

Finally, the Comphy warbird, a space ship. Ideally replace this one with your own creature's ship. It's a part way through space stage design, not that that is relevant.
The buildings should come with Spore as default, if they haven't, then I'll include them in too.
I think I didn't mention it earlier, but a comphy in this context is a sort of cross between velociraptors and T-rexes made miniture and sentient. That's the easiest way of explaining it. I like these little guys a lot, it's based on an old childhood cuddly toy I have. I'm rambling...

i got this last night. still in the early stages of the game but it seems quite fun and heavily customisable.
Suprised you bothered to bump this...In essence it is, although getting GA adds a lot to the customisability of it.
Still fairly simplified and childish though...
