yeah i don't play that much anymore.
But starting to get back into it for arma 3.

Ive been playing with zombie sandbox map.

Its hard to go back to a standard linear FPS though once you've experienced the freedom and realism of arma

This is the dynamic mission I play...generates a constant random battle using parameters you set at the start and can generate a random objective (although it is just a point on the map to get to)....
I've ported it to a few different maps though, and plonked some flyable aircraft at the airports with the editor...not difficult to do

no two missions are alike..I've had more way fun with this thatn with the standard game

I have the British Forces version. It's good but super hard. I just wish i could understand all the buttons!

It is brutal, at least for me because I don't have much idea what I'm doing.

Controls are not exactly intuitive for a beginner.

Mission generator is fairly fun though.

You will get used to it in due time

You will find that you wont even use 50% of the commands/bottons
when it comes to a small opperation.

Would be good if we could all get together and do some Random mission vs some Taliban

Seriously considering Steaming this tonight, only 10quid for arrowhead and another 8 for the UK forces.

Used to love playing it, although it was a dodgy copy so nothing fired straight, but still enjoyed flying about.

been looking into these for a while, but not sure when to take the plunge (my pc is on the tv so not sure how well a mouse/keyboard combo will work when sat on the sofa!

edit.. bugger it, worked out as £20.77 for the lot.
anyone recommend a good wireless mouse (small) keyboard combo? dont think my logitech diNovo will cut it for gaming

Loved the original Flashpoint (especially with the arty mod) but the Arma series was a little too buggy for me.

I succumbed and bought it, actually from the bistudio site as a lot cheaper for combined operations, there is a voucher code on tinterweb which meant I got it for about 16quid, arma2 and operation arrowhead. Google will find it.

It's good fun, got a few mods as well, ace is needed, improves the effects dramatically.

I been playing it since the Original 'Operation Flashpoint' and still enjoying it.

I'm often to be found on the COOP maps DOMI mainly. One day I'll buy a joystick and learn to fly jets

I;m really interested in this game, and the DayZ mod for it.

I have a mac (for my sins) it's a good spec, and I'd love to play this game, I'm just after a bit of advice if it's likely to be possible on my spec?

Buy what you say here and what is written on the back of the box (AMRA2) I'd say yes - (Optimal requirements). BUT!!!! It only lists windows XP/Vista and 7 as operating systems

you can download the game free (minus mod support, campaign and HD textures) free version probably wont run day z but you will get an idea if you can run the game or not
