not to sure what i can do here? never had a problem with my psn, turned it on yesterday password isn't valid. So it sent an email to me, the problem is when i got my playstation i wasn't 18 so made a fake email address so didn't have to worry about all that parents lock crap on it. but its sent the email to change password to an address that doesn't exist? so not quite sure what i'm supposed to do now? contact sony/playstation helpline or has anyone had an issue like this before?

thanks

You don't deserve a PSN. Sony have finally realised.

I'm confused about why you needed a fake email to avoid parental controls - they have to be manually activated by said parent, they aren't automatic. There's also nothing to define your true age in an email account, so using a real one would have been rather more secure.

Presumably this is because you didn't change your password after they prompted you to, following their widely publicised security leak?

Incidentally, I have had something similar happen with a website account (for some forum or another), and resolved it by making a new account. I suspect you will have to do the same.

I shall contact sony direct then!
Stupidly about four years ago I decide to say yeah born in 1990 to be 18 to avoid having to go through all extra controls and details after with setting up a psn account. Your quite right I never changed my password, but then I don't have any card/bank details linked to my account so I thought there would be no point!
So if I make new account surely I lose everything... On that account? Both off and online play? Which to be honest will piss me off so much! With the amount off hours spent playing GT5 and the likes!
Guess first port off call is sony see if they will simply change it! Also which is strange as on this matter I always received emails to my real email address? Addressed to ... Gaypooman my psn? Which confused me greatly!
Thanks for the advice guys.
Ps norbury. Fist yourself.
