Cheap steering wheel

Fancying a cheap but reasonable quality steering wheel, gearchange, brake etc to play McCrae with a 6 year old. Doesn't need to be the latest model or over complicated, second hand would be fine.
Any suggestions or ones to avoid?

Logitech do good wheels, I've got a Driving force pro, discontinued now but you could probably pick one up cheap second hand. (looking at ebay £40 or less) Failing that you can get a Driving force GT brand new although you're looking at ~£90 for one of those.

Logitech Driving Force Pro is a good base wheel that I got off The Bay for ~£40, has served me very well. Only criticism I have of it is that the pedals are crap in iRacing IMO, and also it's not compatible with Xbox 360, but not really the wheel's fault!

Most of them clamp to a desk, although if you have a seat/rig they can be hard mounted by drilling them to it. The DFP linked above has a clamp system which you tighten by the two octagonal tubes either side just behind the wheel rim. Not the best method as it can take quite some effort to get a decent, secure fitment, but once you get it right it doesn't move, plus it's quick and easy to undo if you want to stow it away

BTW these Thrustmaster Ferrari things seem to go cheaply, is that for a "reason"?

I haven't tried one but I don't think they're all that - probably no better than the Logitech DFP, if anything probably not quite as good, but the same price or more expensive. As I say though i've never tried one..

Nothing! They hardly ever get used and I've just moved house and no longer have anywhere to put / use them!

CSR-e is going well - might not even bother changing it tbh! Used a g25 the other day... CSRE has changed the way I feel about force feedback.. Not comparable to anything else!
