PS3 broken - won't read discs

In fairness, I've had my PS3 for many years - but recently, it won't load any discs (games or DVDs).

Any ideas - tried a software update but no joy

does it give a error message if not the blu-ray player is faulty on it by sounds of it

Nope - no error msg, tried the firmware reset etc - think it's bustificated

Sounds like the blu ray laser has packed up. You can replace them for about £50.
