PH Forza 4 Hillclimb style thing

Forza 4 PH Hill Climb
Right, had no internet the other day, was bored on Forza.
So I set about trying to get the quickest time possible on Fujimi Kaido, mainly using rally car jobs (RS200, 22B, Delta etc)
Just thought it'd be fun to see what people can do.
Rules:
- Times sorted by Performance Index & Drive Train. (Eg A600 4WD etc)
- Track - Fujimi Kaido New Hill Climb.
- Standing start, so no reversing back to get a run up or getting heat in tyres.
- Has to be realistic damage.
- No rewind, as this just makes it boring, you hit a wall, you pay the price. (So invalidated times can stand, but be honest!)
- Take a picture of your times and post it up, I'll try and keep a leaderboard in this post when people start putting times on.
- No storefront tunes, this is to keep it fair for the guys without live. (Homebrew tunes are allowed)
- Feel free to post a picture of the car and a bit about it.

Interesting, I suppose we'd run this on FJ Course A (I think thats what it's called, basically the base of the hill to the highest point I think it is), how would we regulate it? Photo of the leaderboard screen to show time and prove that it wasn't a bum "dirty" lap?
I think I'll have a shot with the Quattro S1 later, that is a pretty good car for Kaido.
EDIT: Just realised they have an "Old hill climb" and "New hill climb" tracks, maybe the new one would be a good choice for this?

I think this might work better if it was split into classes, would mean we could compete in all sorts of cars - if the only class is "unlimited" then nothing short of a car with a Performance Index score of 980 is going to be competitive. I just did a 4:58 lap of the new hill climb course in the Audi Quattro S1, then demolished that with a 4:31 in the Mazda 787b. If you like, we can formalise some rules and if I can get openoffice to work on my computer (I don't have Microsoft office) I'll start a spreadsheet to break down the classes and times.
The cool thing about something like this would be that everyone with Forza and a camera could compete - some honesty would be required to avoid starting-line japes, but saying as most of the PH crew are rather more gentlemanly than the oiks you tend to find on Xbox live, I think it could be fun. You don't need gold membership (something I currently don't have) to take part, just post the photos to verify the time. As I say, if there is enough support for the idea I'll happily make a sheet up and try and track all the times. I'm not amazing at Forza - I can generally get top 5% times on most tracks I try, but I know there are a lot of guys on here who are way better than me.
It's a cool idea I think, and a bit different to the normal destruction derby that the online racing modes are.

Yeah, that sounds like a good idea, how'd you want to split the classes?By PI, drivetrain (FWD/4WD/RWD) or displacment?
If everyone leaves what they think would make good rules, we can come up with something?

I think splitting the classes via PI but also by drive train, I.e A600 RWD and A600 4WD are separate classes, and have modifications unlimited? By PI, drivetrain (FWD/4WD/RWD) or displacment?

But perhaps say no storefront tunes as to allow this without Xbox live (like myself) to compete fairly?
Just my two pence worth

I think for ease of use, PI is probably the fairest way to split it, just using the regular F, E, D, C, B, A, S, R1, R2 and R3 and XXX classes. That way, if people want to go nuts and tick every "top spec" option box then they will have to compete with unmodified cars of a similar PI. It will make it a lot easier to track the scores than if we split the board into drive train, apiration, modified and unmodified classes etc.
I think some good rules for the competition would be;
Traction control / stability / ABS etc - up to the player, saying "Must be turned off" just puts pad players (like me) at an immediate disadvantage to those who have the much more feelsome wheel and pedal setup.
Shifting - manual or auto, manual is quicker though so I suspect everyone will use that
Rewind - should be irrelevant as a "clean lap" should be the ultimate goal. We could say "damage realistic" and allow dirty laps to be ranked alongside clean ones, but it's not really the spirit of hillclimbing to use the sides of the track like bowling alley buffers to allow higher cornering speeds.
Track - For now, Fujimi Kaido "New Hill Climb" - it's 5.40 miles long and imo is the most technical of the tracks on FK, a straight-ish bits here and there but rewards good use of gears, good braking points etc.
Method of verification - a photo of the leaderboard post-lap would suffice, as that will show whether the lap was clean, your time, the car you used and it's PI score. If you have modified a car, perhaps a few words about what you changed, just for the interest of other competitors?
If anyone has any suggestions, toss them in!

Hmm a photo of my screen may be difficult because as far as I'm aware you can't upload a picture to PH via a phone (no computer access at current) although if they're is a way I'm all ears
Also I like the idea of posting up a list of mods just for reference and ideas.
Can't wait to get home and have a blast, I think my one of the 4 MX-5's I have may make an appearance
Eta perhaps also mention wether you race using a pad or wheel to see more comparable times?

Sorting times by PI with drive train added in as well sounds good to me.
I think realistic damage should be on, because then if you do try to use the walls to get round corners you'll likely do damage to the car.
I'll take a picture of the lap in a minute.

- Also I'll edit the original post to contain the rules when we finalise them.

As we're doing this on our own and not online I see no reason it can't be done in arcade mode without damage. Because, lets me honest, if you overcook it and smack the barrier you're going to start again anyway.
Yes or not?
Thats a good idea, I noramlly do it on Test Drive mode, as you can't rewind, could use that as a rule?Yes or not?

I dont think you can upload directly to PH - use a website like Photobucket to host your photos then link to the image from photobucket.

As said, I think damage should be irrelevant, because the clean lap should be king - if you do a dirty lap, it doesn't matter whether you damaged your car or not because your lap will not be included on the "leaderboard of kings" as it were. It's not hard to do a clean run up the hill with no other traffic on it.
Keeping to a semi-realistic aspect as well, you wouldn't enter a hillclimb hoping to pinball your way to the top, so keeping the "clean lap" as the ultimate target keep this little PH competition in the spirit of real life hillclimbs.
EDIT: OP has offered to maintain the leadboard on the opening post.
Might get a bit cluttered with all the different classes, and if they are going to be split into differet drivetrain groups?

Yes, you should be able to. If you have a photo on your phone, upload it to photobucket / Flickr or whatever, then to put it on PH you do an image tag, which looks like this [immg](insert URL for picture here[/immg]
Just remove one of the "m"s from each "immg" to make it display properly.
Here is a picture of a car.

Trying quoting my post and you should be able to see how the image tag looks when typed out properly.
