Test drive Ferrari

Only found out about this game the other day, looks like it could be quite fun, 50s monza in a Ferrari.

What does everybody else think of the game?

A TD game with no open world driving, just a load of Ferraris on tracks, running on a game engine and physics model that is inferior to Forzas but the design of the game is supposed to be sim. Sounds franky dull.

I think it could still be pretty, but I am going to wait for it to come on sale.

Apparently it handles similarly to Shift 2. If that's the case I won't be touching it with a stty stick

Looks pretty tasty, and a selection of historic tracks to go with historic cars. 80's Spa, 80's Hockenheim, 80's Imola, 50's Monza, 50's and 70's Silverstone, 50's Rouen. I'd like a demo too.

Been playing F355 Challenge on a Dreamcast emulator, bloody loved that game back in the day! Test Drive Ferrari should be right up my street but the shi(f)ty looking physics puts me right off as well.

Hell yeah, the historic tracks made me buy Shift 2 purely for the classic download packs (GT40/lightweight E-Type/Lotus Cortina with 60s Silverstone/60s Monza/Rouen...) Just a shame the handling was so crap, otherwise I probably wouldn't still be playing Forza or iRacing on the PC!

Why do they record people who are terrible drivers on those things? In real life that person would be black flagged in no time!

Cars and tracks look fantastic but the forklift steering is horrible.

I really think that alot of games companies are missing a trick by only having modern tracks in their games. They all have vintage cars but the best you normally see with track layouts is Le Mans without chicanes. NFS Shift 2 had some great classic tracks which was really refreshing

Let's be honest, the real world tracks in the latest games are by and large the same tracks we've raced in countless other games before. How good would it be to try out some historical and in some cases long lost circuits for a spot of real nostalgia. I'm tempted to get TD Ferrari just for that!

I didn't know shift 2 had old style tracks and cars in it, I never really looked at it to be honest.

My opinion exactly - would love the old Hockenheim, 60s Spa circuit, the old Monza with the banking, so many old circuits i'd like to drive in a good game!

Its a classic gt DLC pack. It's quite good really, It does a good job of recreating the feel of vintage racing.
