Xbox Live membership for a pound...
Discussion
I've been the doing the £2 for 2 months thing since December last year.
All I do is remove the auto renew from my xbox account as it says the next payment is something like £5, let the 2 months expire and then when I fire up the xbox it has an advert on there, 2 months for £2 and repeat!

If you're asking what I think you are, yes, it comes up automatically.Rob282828 said:
And how do i remove 'Auto Renew' on my account?
Don't know, haven't got that far...Renewed mine yesterday, no £1 per month deal going at the moment. Ended up having to get the £11 for 3 months deal from the dashboard
.
Go to "My Account" (top right).
The middle grey area of this screen you should see the current status "Automatic Renewal: On (Change)"
Click "Change" from that status line.
At this point it may ask to verify your account for security, if so just follow the instructions. Skip that part if it doesn't.
Just click "Continue" at the bottom right.
Select "Off" then "Save & Continue".
Sorted.

Im in the same boat just now. Needing to renew but hanging off paying full price. Last time for me was 3 months for £7 , but looking at the above comments it appears to have went up to £11.
Wasn't too impressed that my Netflix stopped working due to not having gold, despite the fact Im paying my sub to netflix. Iplayer doesn't require gold, and I realise that the beeb stipulated that had to be the case, and was what caused the delay of iplayer getting onto xbox.

This. Don't understand the mentality there? Ok, so other free services like having last.fm or the FB app or whatever, MS might get paid by them to be on there so want to keep the subscriptions rolling in via the gold membership - but Netflix requiring a monthly subscription should be enough!Rob282828 said:
