Civilisation 5

It's been a while since I played a Civilisation game, the last being a dabble on Civ 4, but mainly Civ 2 back in the day.However I've spotted Civ 5 on play and tempted to treat myself to it.

So is it worth it? Is it a game where you can lose yourself for a day or is it not quite what I hope it might be?

i didnt think it bought much to the game what 4 didnt already have.

graphics aside yeah there was hexagon(?) blocks instead of the square and there's a few nice touches but i honestly preferred 4

I have played a few versions and much prefer 5. Just because it looks nicer and the lookup system seems to be easier to use. I have lost a few hours of my life playing it.

I still prefer Civ 3 the most - Something didn't quite sit right with me in Civ 4.

Been playing Civ Revolution on the iPad - pretty disappointing

Civ 5 is the only thing making me itch for a new PC as my existing one wouldn't cope. Civ 4 for the mo then.
