PC Steering Wheels: G25/G27

Seems like the G25 or later G27 wheels are the ones to go for. Anyone on here have one? Tempted very muchly after starting out on Live For Speed again! Only problem is the £200 price tag. The Playseat setup a look awesome too but they're £430

Even better, has anyone got one they no longer use???!

Both the G25 and G27 are great wheels. You should also take a look at the Fanatec wheels.

Check ebay, sometimes they come up on there.

Need to sell my g25, works perfectly but missing one screw clamp on gear level so probably sell it for £90.

I have had my G27 for a year now and use it on my PS3.

Hoewever, I would advise AGAINST buying a second hand one based on my onw experience.

I bought a G27 from ebay for £200, described as nearly new, good condition etc.
After a week of playing on it the steering wheel packed up. The paddles would not shift up, the pedals would also work intermittently. I couldnt return to seller as it was working fine for the first 5 days or so and the listing said 'no returns'.

Anyhow, I contacted Logitech to explain my problems, and they told me the steering is still under warranty, and so sent me a brand new one in exchange for the old one.
The company was brilliant, and it didnt cost me a penny to return the old wheel as everything was pre-paid by Logitech. New wheel was with me within 2 weeks of raising the query with them.

I dont know why my secondhand wheel failed, but had it not been for Logitechs goodwill, i would have been lumbered with a dodgy wheel and £200 out of pocket. Thus, always buy brand new, as at least you will have warranty if it does mess up.

I've had both G25 and G27. They are both great wheels and there's very little difference between them.

If I'm honest, the DFGT has a nicer steering feel than the G25/7 (belt driven seems smoother than gear driven), but the peddals for the G's are in a different league.

It's my only gripe with my Fanatec, the standard pedals are a bit pants but the club sport ones are over £200!!!

I went with fanatec purely on a looks basis.
