Singstar and Sony crap!!

As of the latest firmware update for the PS3 I now have SingStar installed on my PS3 and I'm not allowed to delete it!
Who on earth thought it was good idea to force users to download and install a game they have no interest in!
And the new store is terrible, it take ages to start uo and then barely works. I'm trying to buy the Dark Souls DLC and just get constant errors, this content cannot be selected at this time. Why not ?
ETA: You can't even move it into your games folder, it's got it's own icon on the XMB!

I've got the exact same problem. I've been waiting for the dlc for Dark Souls all day. I can see the picture of it on the store (finally) but cannot access it. This was meant to be available to Europe by this morning.
I agree with the Singstar garbage as why shouldn't we be allowed to delete something on our own computers. Sony has pissed me right off today!

Mine's done this as well. If you want to stay online, you HAVE to take the updates etc. I think it's a poor show from Sony forcing changes that people don't want.

She's doing nothing more than trolling. Sony should make the icon deletable/removable. I have never had and will never have any interest in downloading SingStar and I don't want the icon in my games list above everything else.
I hate it when companies change things I like and am used to without my consent. I was planning on purchasing a new PS3 to replace my fat one but seeing Sony's attitude toward its customers and users on the blog, I don't think I'll bother. Might chuck the money at some PC upgrades instead!
