PC Military Flight Simulators

From about 1980 until Falcon 4 I 'flew' all the main military sims. The more complicated the more I liked them.

The favourites were probably the Janes series. I spent more hours playing these sims than I care to imagine, F15, F18 and Longbow.
Military Flight Sims then seemed to dry up.

I have recently however discovered the DCS series of sims and I have to say i'm pretty impressed so far. Things have definitely come on from the old days !

If you have an interest in computer flight simulations then you need to check DCS out.

They just released the Flaming Cliffs 3 addon which is compatable with DCS World but you do need to have LOMAC installed before it will install.
It gives you F15C, SU25, A10A, Mig29, Su27 aircraft to fly
Great series, I'm waiting for the Mig21bis from Beczl and the F14 from Iris studios.

I still find Black Shark the best still, cant beat sneaking behind hills. Very rewarding once you actually get into an auto hover and actually blow something up!

If you don't mind ww2 aircraft IL-2 stermovik is probally the best ww2 fighter sim lots of mods and texture packs etc to keep it upto date

rise of flight is one of my favs DCS is great too, I have a10 but not played it yet as I have been flying the BS all the time
