Nah, Wii U is old news. I'm holding on for the Wii Mini
Small enough to install in the back of a car maybe.

Canada only?
The Wii u can be used as an Internet explorer also.
There's a cracking deal that I posted on another thread which is,
I got it for 322 euros from Amazon in france which works out at £261 which includes delivery for the black premium version.
Expected delivery is the 12 December and the parcels arrive by City Link.
The basic version is £259 at game so it means you will only pay £2 extra but for premium version, i also know people who have ordered from Amazon.fr in the past and had no problems.
Link for deal,

Does anyone else have any impressions of the Wii U?
I bought the original wii on the day of release, but as many others have found, it's gathering dust, and isn't even plugged in anymore. Can I expect full 'core' gaming (i.e. xbox 360 style games) from this or is it a casual only affair like the original?

Any updates from early adopters?
Had a go on Zombie U today. Really enjoyed it. However, Lego City Undercover peeks my interest as well. So that'll be two games.
Seems a smart bit of kit. I just fear it will become party game central again. Black Ops seemed the same as the 360 version. So technically seems a good console, but I can't see typical Nindtendo fans playing them games and I can't see 360/PS3 players jumping ship.

My mates a bit (slight understatement) of a Nintendo fan and got one on release day.
Can't say I was blown away TBH. I do quite like the concept of playing on the controller screen when the Mrs wants to watch Eastenders but found the controller quite awkward to hold, not as bad as I expected but not as comfy as a proper controller. ZombieU was a bit meh as well, the survival horror has been done to death and better imo.
There's certainly potential but I won't be spending my own money on one.

you thought zombieU was a bit 'meh'?
did you actually play it more than 5 mins? I think its great, one of the best zombie game out at the moment. its also got little things that I really like, when your standing in a shipping container in the rain, it doesnt rain inside like every other game, you actually hear the noise of the rain on the roof, and the 'prepper pad' idea is brilliant, where the prepper talks to you thro the controller and the hacking of cctv boxes to get maps. i think it has a really good sense of fear to it.

Is this the first game you've played in the last 10 years?did you actually play it more than 5 mins? no, i have played many games in the last 10 years, apart from BF3, COD and the other 'really popular' shooters, but have not found this happen in many if any games before. normally it just carrys on raining everywere if you are under cover but still outside like in a open shipping container or under a tree or lean to.
