I had a quick look and intend to investigate in more depth when I get chance.

First impressions are its a traditional type strategy game, a Risk type basis with immensely more complexity.

Was it a board game originally?

I think there was a board game many moons ago but not sure of this ones origins.

It is kind of like risk but with control of production and making allies.
