Baldurs Gate Enhanced Edition

Anyone else playing it ?
It's still brilliant! The graphics aren't great, but they are more than good enough. It's also difficult, but good difficult. An RPG where you have to actually use the pause feature to think about your tactics and work out your next move.
I wish game developers would make more RPGs like this, instead of dumbing them down to try and get the call of duty crowd. I'm hoping Dragon Age 3 is going to be brilliant and closer to Dragon Age Origins than the awful Dragon Age 2!
What happened to gaming like this ? Is it all just Call of Duty's fault ? I feel like it is*
....It seems spectacle has replaced game play.

There's no market for it, apparently - although Obsidian's big project on KS has proven otherwise.
I've lost count of the amount of times I've played through BG1/2 and their expansions; there's a good 200 hours of gaming there if you play it properly. Some people think the AD&D 2nd Ed. Ruleset (with THAC0, etc) is too archaic, but I love it because I've grown up on it!
Love the Baldur's Gate games (and Neverwinter Nights 1), but then again, I am an old dice-rattler.
Yes, the graphics aren't top notch, but there is so much depth to the games it doesn't matter and it's good enough for the format. Much rather play these games than Skyrim. I wonder if they'll be updating the rest of the expansions?
I still get reminded by the other half of the humiliation of her having a halfling bard that was more of a tank than any of my characters. (A halfling bard ffs!)

BG2:EE has been confirmed by the project lead assuming they make money on this one, which they have.
