I had an Xbox a few years back and needed a wireless adaptor to plug into the back of it. I've noticed on the Game website now that it says they have wi-fi built in... do I still need an adaptor with the new ones or does it 'just work'?

The new slim (Matte and Shiny black) does not need the adapter, all older generations do.

Thanks for that. Another numpty question, why release a 4gb version and a 250gb, is there any point in going for the larger capacity or is the smaller one too small if that makes sense?

Well you can't install games on the 4Gb version, so it'll read from the disc all the time. Nowhere near as noisy as the old ones, but I'd still worry about wear and tear.
Also not much use if you like to download demos and films etc.

I picked up a 250GB in Sainsburys for £155 the other day if your looking to upgrade.

Larger is better, I think my stepdad who bought the 4GB, only managed Forza 4 and Fifa before updates/DLC so had to get the memory upgrade thingy. I'm still going with my 250GB
