Where have I been!!

Just discovered that which is known as Eyefinity and am desperately scratting around on the interweb with a credit card in my hand, looking for 3 x 22 / 24" monitors. It looks seriously good and cannot believe I have missed this.
Take a look if you haven't seen it....

Anyone else using it?

1) It needs a monster GFX card to run at the higher details (£££)
2) You need 3 identical monitors or it looks odd (Even more £££)
3) You get the bezels of the monitors cutting through the images
4) Support for it isn't that widespread.

The cost, plus the fairly limited support means that unless you play alot of Sim games, or supported FPS's like BF3 make it quite an expensive path to take.

Get one of these instead

Well currently have a 7950 so that should run it.....

Yep - going to ditch the 26" Asus for 3 x 22" - £350

It's not too obtrusive if they are pretty slim

MOST games support eyefinity as it just tells games that you have one big wide screen, not three small ones.. I use it on my sim rig, love it! All the games run at 5760 x 1080.

Nice setup!

The next gen hd 7990 comes out soon which I am sure will deal with most things!

With stuff like I raving and flight sims, I imagine it would be pretty epic, and arma 3 next year also.
