Help! Trying to name an old SNES game
Discussion
As per title. I am trying to remember an old SNES game. Have checked a few websites listing games but can't find it. Was hoping the PH collective might be able to help.
I don't remember much:
- most likely a PAL game but not necessarily so. Was English language though.
- top down game in graphic style of Legend of Zelda / Secret of Mana
- seem to recall Asian / manga vibe to it. A little bit like Legend of Mystical Ninja or Parodius.
- 1-2 player
- game type was moving through levels frantically shooting baddies. Like Chaos Engine or Mercs crossed with Pokemon Rumble
- I think characters were animals and were a bit manga in style.
- I think one of the characters fired leaves but not entirely sure.
Not much to go on, but any ideas please?
Thanks
Matt

But I have thought of a name for you, if as your current name suggests, you are still in need of one.

Spot on that man! Thank you so much. My mind can rest now
Great game. Must source a copy now!!!
I bought a copy after being reminded of the name of it and it's as fun as I remember. I kind of miss that type of shooting game in a world of generic FPS titles. And having recently set up a SNES, Megadrive, Saturn, Dreamcast, N64,Gamecube,PSone,PS2 and XBOX I find the SNES graphics for this type of game still look pretty pleasant today. The games on the consoles between the 16-bit and current generation consoles look and feel much more dated to me.

Games like Yoshi's Island and Donkey Kong Country still look great today, whereas the early 3d efforts of the Playstation or Saturn look horribly dated and are often difficult to play. I used to love the Ridge Racer series but now find them completely unplayable, whereas Mario Kart and F Zero remain awesomeGassing Station | Video Games | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
