Hi all, can anyone help with my PS3 issue? Turned it on this morning, but it won't respond to either sixaxis or my dvd remote. Thought batteries must be dead, so charged etc, swapped the dvd remote ones out, but nothing. Turned the unit off manually, restarted, can use sixaxis for accepting reload no problem but once it loads the main screen, they're both dead again.

Very frustrating, has anyone experienced the same or similar issus and how were they resolved?

Cheers,

Z

Weirdly mine has been doing the same thing, plugging the remote into the PS3 makes no difference either.

I left the controller on charge all day and after a lot of turning on and off it finally kicked into life, 2 days later it did the exact same thing!

Additionally the PS3 now insists every time I boot it up that it's not been turned off properly, it has!

have you tried the factory / hard reset? switch off and then hold down power button until 3 beeps?? cant remember full reset but I think it involves doing a full backup and reformatting which takes 3_4 hours

Thanks chaps. Not tried the factory reset, was under the impression it would wipe my media, and I don't have it backed up. Or am I way off the mark?
