Talk to me about F.P.S on Playstaion 3.
Discussion
After wasting good money on Black ops 2 can someone recommend me a decent F.S.P, Black ops was good but I finished the campaign in 4 days, bit pathetic that Black ops 3 won't be brought.
What I'm after is a good campaign game, I'm not interested in online gaming just decent F.S.P's like Half-life 2 or MOH front line type of stuff, any suggestions.

Yep, Fallout 3. It's a bit questy, but it's long. It's not like the COD games, but it is a long game.
Other than that, BF3 has a good campaign, but it's still just a "training exercise" for the online game.
There are Game of the Year or Ultimate versions of both Fallout 3 and Fallout 3:New Vegas available now with extra bits added. You can do as much questing or shooting as you like depending upon your preference.Other than that, BF3 has a good campaign, but it's still just a "training exercise" for the online game.

Yep, I have the GOTY edition of both. They still aren't the same as BF or COD though. I wouldn't call them a standard FPS, but they are fun.The Battlefield 3 campaign is trash. It barely even qualifies to be called interactive.
Here's a good review of Battlefield 3

Bulletstorm was good, I found it quite fun. It's not a serious shooter though.
Bioshock is oldish now but still very good, Bioshock 2 less so.
I didn't like Resistance 3. It was too repetative.
THe problem is all FPS games are trying to be CoD now and as a result they are incredibly linear and on rails, barely interactive, corridor shooters.

Everyone who's bought a PS3 has f
ked up!
I bought a Xbox 360 4/5 years ago for no real reason (had a PS2 before) and just got a PS3 a few months ago and I hate the thing with a passion. I can put up with it to play the games I can't get on good old Xbox.
Get a 360 slim. You know you want to.

YMMV, I have grown a fondness for the Xbox controller, having always had a PS and hand cramps

.Others though say they like the PS controllers better.
Also, the "live" experience is better imho than the "PSN", but it's paid for so it should be.
Not nearly as black/white as you make it out.
The biggest f
k up, imho, from sony is implementing a powerful processor architecture that is so complicated no games are actually using it to it's full potential, over 5 years after launch. The biggest f
k up from MS imho is not fitting a BR drive.pidsy said:
Big fan of resistance 1,2 and 3.
Pick them all up for pennies and its just one long story.
1 and 2 may be good, I've never played them. I didn't find the story in 3interesting at all and eventhough the gunplay was quite good it was still just a corridor shooter. The OP said he wasn't impressed with CoD and that's what Resistance 3 was to me, it was a Call of Duty campaign with aliens.Pick them all up for pennies and its just one long story.
I also wouldn't recommend Crysis 2, the campaign is OK but it's very very short.
I finished it on Normal and then did a run through on the hardest difficulty and my total playtime was barely over 10 hours. 10 hours for 2 complete playthroughs.
It's short and it's very very easy. I got it for free on PSN+ and I'm so glad I never paid full retail for it!
