Yeah, I tried it. I felt the same as you, I had no idea whatsoever what I was meant to do.

Got into a match, didn't know the objectives or where to go and died a couple of times without knowing how.

Gave up.

It is tied in to Eve, so expect a game with more depth than just running around shooting people like it was COD. Eve has a famously steep learning curve, but I don't know how much complexity they have put into dust.

Felt meh to me.

They included the EvE chat system and let you type in local however typing on a PS3 sucks. They let you join your EvE online corp but not be able to chat to your mates as 99% of them use Vent or TS.

Game play just feels like any old FPS and to be honest I would rather play Planet Side 2. Granted the game play is simular but with the massive advantage of having 5000+ guys shooting each other!

The depth is in the fittings and training, as is the need to play more to get Skill Points to get the next fitting etc.

I'm an Eve player so bought in and I'm hoping the complexity will scare off the COD kids but interest the more mature / patient players

People playing it need to bear in mind that it is a work in progress.

There are going to be teething issues while everyone sees how the two games will interact with each other.

As long as people stick with it, I reckon you'll start to see the game really come into it's own in a year or so once everybody has got the grips with it.

Like others have said...IT IS NOT COD!

It is a lot more than COD and has the potential to be a lot more than PS2, as long as people give it the time it needs....like EvE.

I liked the complexity but it feels like a previous gen shooter in terms of control, gameplay and graphics.
