Anyone doing this? Played LiveForSpeed for years but this tweak thing has just opened up a whole new dimension to the game. Fair enough, you can't use your tweak settings online but really the only limit is your imagination in single player mode. 35 litre V12 with 10 bar of boost anyone?

Yep i was messing around with this the other day, such a great game with loads of different mods to play with. I'm enjoying playing with the smoke mod but it always results in a massive framerate drop on my little eMachines netbook...

ears

I'm a bit of a technophobe, the fact I managed to download the tweak program and get it running can only be a testament to its simplicity. The best thing about it is I can fiddle around to my hearts content but when I shut the game down it reverts back to normal. My only previous foray into 'modding' LFS was to download a skin for the XRT that made it look like an E36 but to my dismay the changes were permanent and I had to delete it to go online.

Tell me more about the smoke mod...

That's a bad thing in my opinion!

No, what I mean is I can just start the game on play online, when I downloaded the E36 'skin' I couldn't use it online and had to delete it.
If I spend ages tweaking and make an awesome setup then I am able to save it, and load it again in the future.

I've got 0.6E, and the 0.6E Pro Tweaker

Ah i didn't realise you could save the custom setups with Pro Tweaker, how do you do that?

Not sure whether the smoke mod works with 0.6E or not, but when i had it on that version of Live For Speed it didn't work whatsoever.... What i did was download 0.6B from some dodgy website and then cracked it using a tool i found on the internet to unlock the full version. The smoke mod worked brilliantly with it after that. smile

I have created some crazy vehicles, my favourite is circa 1500bhp, 3 litre, straight six turbo, with 4wd and paddleshift, plus massively wide slicks, on the XRG.

Good for about 250mph on the Blackwood straight. biggrin

The problem is traction, anything above that power is almost impossible to hook up, even with four wheel drive and humongous slicks.

You can also fiddle about with weight too, I made a few 100ton+ cars to try and pilot as well.
